Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per-Diem Diabetes Educator for the Outpatient Diabetes/Nutrition Center Department at Newton Medical Center to work 8am-4pm including possible rotating weekends if needed.
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Candidate will provide assistance with coverage of inpatient diabetes educator position at Newton Medical Center as needed.
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
Experience with individual and/or group education in DSME required
Experience with insulin pumps, CGMs, and glycemic management preferred
Certified pump trainer preferred or willingness to be trained
EMR experience preferred.
Diabetes Educator Certification required or willing to obtain within the first year of hire
Valid New Jersey RN License required
BLS Certification required
