The role you’ll contribute:
The Clinical Educator provides education for all hospital employees with a focus on clinical staff. Also provides educational support for some non-clinical staff. They recognize and communicate with directors, managers, staff, physicians and administration to provide the education necessary to maintain The Joint Commission accreditation and other industry standards for the hospitals condition. They respond timely to educational needs in a variety of teaching methods that include: lecture, online learning, group discussion and direct observation. They are responsible for coordinating and prioritizing activities in the education in conjunction with the education director. They work collaboratively with colleagues and nursing leadership to ensure that safe, quality care is delivered in a learning environment that fosters a world-class patient experience
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Develops instructional materials including learner objectives, content, written/skills testing materials, self-study modules
- Demonstrates patient care equipment; set-ups demonstrations of patient care equipment by vendors'/manufacturers' representatives.
- Documents staff participation of in-services; assists mangers/directors with ensuring educational requirements, hospital requirements and regulatory standards are met on an annual basis.
- Assists unit leadership in planning and implementing staff development programs in their respective units.
- Coordinates, educates, and mentors all RN Residents and the nursing student program at AdventHealth Zephyrhills.
Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Minimum qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Nursing Required
- ACLS
- BLS
- Current Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse
- BLS Instructor certification within the 1st year of employment
- Clinical Experience in a Hospital Setting
- Proficient Clinical Skills
- Critical Thinking Skills
- Strong Communication and Leadership skills
- Computer Skills required include proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
- ·Preferred qualifications:
- Three (3) years of OR experience
- CNOR Certification preferred
- ANPD Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s in a Related Healthcare Field
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Education Preferred
- Clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Electronic Medical Record Experience
