Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA is responsible for providing direct patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: data collection and care appropriate to the age of patients served, with appropriate Nursing Assistant interventions. The Nursing Assistant plays a key role in ensuring excellent customer satisfaction to our patients. Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the constant observer maintains constant direct observation and visualization of identified patients(s). The Nursing Assistant provided activities of daily living to patients, and is responsible for providing excellent patient hygiene. Assisting patients with ambulation, toileting needs, and taking vital signs are additional functions of this role. Immediate attention to patient call lights is an exception as well.
Training and Experience:
One year acute care experience. In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for staff with strong education and associated experiential background.
Current AHA Provide Basic Life Support
Current Nursing Assistant Certificate or currently enrolled Nursing Student who has successfully completed their first semester of RN Program (ADN or BSN).
Current enrollment in BSN Program
