Job Summary The Clinical Dietitian II provides high-level nutrition education and medical nutrition therapy to patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to maximize patients? nutritional status and improve clinical outcomes. Primary responsibilities include managing the daily schedule to maximize patient care, and providing evidenced-based and patient-centered nutrition care to patients. Other responsibilities include performing projects, presentations, and in-services both within the department and to members of the multidisciplinary team. In addition, training dietitian staff and dietetic interns, and serving as a resource to other dietitian staff.
This position is hybrid working at Baytown Health Center three days per week, with two days telecommute, supporting other health centers and clinics as needed via telehealth. The coverage format for the position may change over time as needed to meet patient care needs.
Degrees: Bachelors of Dietetics, Food Science or Nutrition required; Masters of Dietetics, Nutrition, or Public Health preferred.
Licenses & Certification: Registered Dietitian prior to hire Licensed Dietitian (LD) State of Texas within 60 days of hire Eligible certifications: Advanced Practitioner Certification in Clinical Nutrition (RDN-AP), Board Certification as a Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR); Board Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management (CSOWM); Board Certification in Oncology Nutrition (CSO); Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP); Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC); Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) preferred.
Work Experience: Two years experience in Dietetics/Nutrition;
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact/Public Speaking); Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking) Writing /Correspondence Writing /Reports
Language Skills: Spanish preferred
