Location: Islet Cell Research Laboratory; Lieberman Building, Second Floor
JOB SUMMARY The Research Postdoctoral Fellow is a trainee working in an apprenticeship mode in preparation for a career in clinical research. This position will train in clinical and translational research methodology, practices and programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
Evaluates and analyzes data.
Assists in establishing new research protocols and procedures, as requested.
Summarizes research findings, and publishes results in research journals.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program in a related field of study related to the assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Doctorate EXPERIENCE: Less than 1 Year of Experience
Experience in Operating Room, surgical techniques and clinical research is preferred; Experience in laboratory techniques such as cell culture, biochemistry and molecular biology
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other researchers, graduate students and faculty. The candidate with previous experience in diabetes research.
