Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Abbott Diabetes Care is looking for a Senior Manager, Scientific Affairs to manage our global publications process. This is a remote position.
Building/improving the business’s scientific presence in the area of diabetes management.
Works closely with the Medical Affairs, R&D, and the commercial channels to provide scientific support for the business.
Develop Scientific Affairs strategies which complement and help guide the business.
Provides input to the design of new products.
Work closely with Commercial, R&D and Regulatory groups.
Creates and executes an annual scientific affairs plan.
Participate on product pipeline and product development teams, providing clinical insight for product development and use.
Manages and coordinates all global publications, the Publications Process for ADC, per Corporate Abbott policy. Develop, implement and maintain a dynamic publications process for ADC globally. Manage communications with cross functional teams across ADC globally and external KOL stakeholders.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with KOLs and academic centers that are of commercial and research relevance.
Present scientific, clinical and educational materials to KOLs, academic centers, and professional diabetes organizations to gain awareness, acceptance, and advocacy of products.
Drive publications and presentations of products based on data from clinical studies &/or publications. Provide clinical and product training to KOLs and academic centers.
Implement and support training programs, coordinate activities, information, and resources with other division personnel.
Assist with internal Sales & Marketing trainings related to clinical studies, diabetes disease state, technical/ medical aspects of products.
Assist with medical content review and professional communication materials and key advocacy initiatives.
Coordinate and execute regional education and scientific symposiums.
Support regulatory initiatives in the region as required.
Attend key regional, national, and international scientific and medical meetings & conferences.
Travel 30-40%, including international.
Masters Degree in Science or relevant clinical role
Position requires a solid understanding of the underlying principles of clinical diabetes care and specifically the division’s products.
Strong understanding and experience in publication planning and management.
Position requires strong problem solving techniques and communication skills to effectively communicate and consult in a highly technical environment, as well as coordinating business strategies.
Effective communication skills for presentations and demonstrated leadership skills essential.
Knowledge of how the division’s functional areas work together and understanding the needs of customers is essential for design input.
