St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a Patient Diabetes Educator (RN or RD) to join our Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes team. This highly specialized team receives recognition as an Accredited ADA site (American Diabetes Association) for meeting high standards in quality care and delivering diabetes education to patients and families. As a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist on our care team, you’d have the privilege to work with patients in both the in-patient and out-patient setting. Our team cares for just over 650 type 1 diagnosed children. This is a dynamic and rewarding position with variety in the day-to-day work. On any given day, you could provide support and education in a 1:1 in-patient or private clinic appt setting, provide triage and support, or provide support to our Endocrinologists and their patients during diabetes clinic.
St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital, the only children’s hospital in the state of Idaho, has more than 150 skilled pediatricians and pediatric specialists who work with referring physicians from around the region to provide high quality care. We have a staff of over 400 nurses, therapists, and other dedicated pediatric caregivers.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or related field.
2 year's relevant experience.
Current Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian license AND Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE).
