Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA) The Department of Endocrine Neoplasia and Hormonal Disorders at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks talented clinicians to apply to join the faculty as an expert consultant in oncologic endocrinology, diabetes mellitus, and general endocrine disorders in a cancer population. Key responsibilities of our clinical faculty include providing state-of-the-art care for patients with a broad array of malignant and benign endocrine tumors, including of the thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, and parathyroid glands. We also deliver expert consultation and direct management of metabolic and endocrine disorders in patients with cancer, including emphasis on outpatient and inpatient diabetes management. Responsibilities include supervision of trainees and advanced practice providers on the inpatient consultation services. Additionally, the position will offer an opportunity for pursuit of a clinical research program or quality improvement and safety efforts in endocrinology. Requirements include M.D. degree, specialty certification in internal medicine and subspecialty certification (or eligibility) in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. An active license or eligible to obtain a license from the Texas Medical Board is required. The applicant must be committed to working in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Graduate teaching opportunities are available, and a strong commitment to mentoring is encouraged. EDUCATION
