AMGA Analytics is AMGA’s engine for actionable population health data analytics and health services research. Our focus is on the implementation of evidence directly into practice and broad dissemination of research findings. Working directly with AMGA member organizations, we help leverage data to drive clinical decision-making, enhance patient-centered care, transform care processes and systems, and improve population health. Through a partnership with Optum, AMGA has access to an unparalleled clinical database comprising longitudinal EHR and claims data for more than 25 million patients across over 20 member health care organizations.
AMGA is looking for individuals with an avid interest in health analytics, research, and translation. Join us in discovering variation in care processes, clinical outcomes, and cost, where our cross-cutting comparisons and actionable analyses are yielding tangible improvements in population health. Examples of projects include:
Describing the impact of COVID-19 on health care utilization among people with diabetes
Evaluating a novel smartphone-based screening test for chronic kidney disease (CKD)
Understanding variation in therapeutic inertia across and within health care organizations
Improving and implementing risk tools at the point of care to support shared decision making
Mirroring the cultures of our members, we work as an innovative team, thriving on flexibility in a supportive environment to meet your goals for personal and professional growth. This is an opportunity to put analytics to work, improving health care for a broad impact on populations.
