The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:
1. Responsible for the nutritional care of assigned patients.
2. Responsible for addressing specific nutritional concerns as outlined for each patient in their nutritional assessment. Concerns are goal specific and would be included in the Master Treatment Plan for the patient.
3. Teach nutrition classes, conduct Eating Attitudes and Training (EAT) group, and provide individual nutrition counseling sessions as defined in the treatment plan.
4. Active member of Diabetes Team and Diabetes Advisory Committee
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
BS, knowledge in nutritional status of child growth and development and behavioral issues as they affect nutritional intake. Also, knowledge of nutritional requirement of individuals with various chronic illnesses and special nutritional needs.
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition
Experience: Experience with working with patients with Diabetes. Prior experience working with children and adolescents is also desired.
Physical Requirements: Office work duties, CPR, CPI
