-Must Have Clinical Experience
Experience- 4 years of clinical experience in healthcare
Education-Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field
Training-80 contact hours per year; 30 CE annually: diabetes related topics, at least 2 in program management/leadership
Certification-Eligible for CDE or BC-ADM certification within 30 months of employment. Membership in at least one national diabetes professional organization (American Association of Diabetes Educators, American Diabetes Association, American Dietetic Association, Virginia Diabetes Council, etc.)
