Primary Purpose: Providing diabetes self-management education and skill to referred patients. The Diabetes Specialist is a vital team member supporting TDC goals, keeping team members updated on advances in diabetes and participating in the marketing, QA and operational development.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in general study, minimum required. Master's degree is preferred.
Years of Experience: 1-2 years equivalent experience, minimum required. 3-5 years equivalent experience, preferred.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate initiative, team focus, and independence. Team oriented. Works independently.
Licenses and Certifications: RN license (Ohio and Kentucky openings) and certified by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE).
