Position Summary This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Additional responsibilities include directing the Patient Care Technician activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan/MD orders, documentation and evaluation. Integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values. The employee shall support Saddleback Memorial Medical Center’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.
Experience One year acute care experience in Critical Care nursing required. Experience with Philips monitoring, vigilante, and acudose a plus. Experience managing patients with open heart surgery, stroke, and neurology.
Education/License/Certification * Current CA RN license * Current BCLS-C from AHA * Current ACLS from AHA * Current NIHSS * Bachelors of Science in Nursing (within 36 months of hire)
