Diabetes Patient Educator, RN
The Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology Nurse Educator is responsible for participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology Program. The position will provide education to pediatric patients and their families in both WakeMed inpatient and outpatient classroom settings and provide supplemental education for healthcare and school personnel.
•Previous experience in pediatrics required.
•Endocrinology experience and phlebotomy skills (pediatric and adult) preferred.
•Associate's degree or diploma required from an accredited school of nursing required. BSN preferred.
•Current license as a Registered Nurse in state of North Carolina with no substantiated findings required.
•Certified Diabetes Educator required.
•Weekend requirements: none
•Call requirements: none
